What BN leaders become suddenly good at?

I can’t help but thinking – All the sudden, BN leaders become good at something. More so after loosing the two-third majority in Parliament, loosing Selangor, Perak, Penang and Kedah to Pakatan and failing to wrest Kelantan from PAS in the March GE.

You know what they are good at? After much observation, I realized that they suddenly become good in giving advices and criticizing. They suddenly become experts in some subject matters, which they clearly lacked when they were in power. They give the rakyat advices after advices. The rakyat must do this and that, the rakyat musn’t do this and that. Better still, they suddenly found a lot of ideas on how to run the governments, especially in the Pakatan-controlled states. The Pakatan governments must do this and that, the Pakatan governments mustn’t do this and that. What is clear is that their criticisms aimed at “teaching” the Pakatan governments, embarrassing them, and hopefully they collapse – far from criticizing them constructively. The irony is that they clearly lacked these knowledge how when they were in power. Even small leaders also become experts nowadays.

What they do and say reflect how badly they wanted to get back to their predecessors. Some of them did or say things to the extent of embarrassing themselves. Some are even desperados. I, for one, would be embarrassed to claim to have voted in these fools before.

Funny, isn’t it? Consider what these experts say.

  • “Lim and his state EXCO members should take a pay cut instead of harping about their CAT (competency, accountability and transparency) philosophy. Tell us what social, economic and educational development you are going to bring for the Malays who cannot even afford low-cost housing”, Pinang Tunggal Assemblyman, Roslan Saidin, The Star 25-Jul-08

YB Roslan Saidin – What have you done for the Malays during BN’s reign in Penang for so many decades? Where were the CAT during your time?

  • “If that can lead to unity and stability, I’m sure the Chinese and Indian communities will welcome it because stability will lead to the people being able to improve their lives”, Shafie Apdal, Minister of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage, commenting on the high-level UMNO-PAS dialogues. The Star 23-Jul-08.

YB Shafie – either you’re being naïve or too smart an ass trying to cover up the underlying motive of the dialogue. Don’t you know that that dialogue was smacked with political motive – never been for Malay unity. Your Khir “Tempe” Toyo panicked upon learning that he would be reduced to being an opposition who would “terpekik-terlolong” (insane - making noises here and there without purpose); and that he stooped so low like a small piece of smelly shit offering to be the Deputy MB to Dr Hassan Ali, should PAS accepted the power-sharing with UMNO in Selangor. Luckily, good sense prevailed in PAS.

  • “It shows that the present assemblyman either does not have his own ideas or that my questions must be of high quality,” former Keramat Assemblyman, Ong Thean Lye, on his allegation that Sungai Pinang Assemblyman, Koid Teng Guan copied his questions that were raised in the current session. The Star, 23-Jul-08.

Ex-YB Ong Thean Lye – either you and your fellow ex-assemblymen were a bunch of “bo kam guan” (Hokkien words for being a sour grape) fellas for being voted out OR you guys have nothing useful to do, so much so to the extent of coming up with the banner, “DAP’s CAT GOVERNMENT, COPY CAT GOVERNMENT” just to get back at the DAP rep.

If this is yours and your fellow ex-assemblymen’s true mentality, it serves you right for being voted out. In fact, you and your fellow ex-assemblymen should not have been voted in at all. What did you do when in power?

  • “But now that they are at the helm, I sincerely hope they will keep their words by putting up such road signs”, Dr. Thor Teong Ghee, former Penang Municipal councillor, who led a group of Gerakan members putting up six road signs in Chinese in Georgetown. The Star, 22-Jul-08.

Dr. Thor Teong Ghee – you and your good-for-nothing buddies are no difference from your ex-YB, Ong Thean Lye – a bunch of “bo kam guan” fellas, whose mission is to embarrass your foe, the DAP but in the process, gets embarrassed instead. You and your bunch of stupid fools show how low a mentality you guys have. If you guys think you are so good, go head on with the DAP professionally. You guys spent party’s money and time for the road signs (or are they free?). You guys have all the time on earth to put up such a low class and stupid show. Pity Gerakan. It was voted out partly because of the mentality and maturity of the “leaders” like you guys. You guys had your chance in the past, but what did you do?

  • “You also can’t insist on the IPPs reducing their charge capacity when they are already agreements that allow them to do this. That would mean rescinding on the agreement, something that only kerajaan perompak would do”, Shahrir Samad, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, rebutting Anwar’s claim that RM2bil could be saved by reducing the country’s 40% electricity buffer to 20%, as the extra capacity only benefited IPPs. The Star, 20-Jul-08.

Pak Shahrir – your statement really embarrasses your government la. It shows how stupid the government is into signing such a loop-sided agreement which favours the IPPs more? Such an agreement shouldn’t have been signed in the first place. This is as clear as the sunny skies, otherwise the government wouldn’t have imposed a windfall tax on the IPPs

Or the government has been misled into signing such as agreement, the motive of which is best known to certain quarters. Well, you may say that these IPPs pay back to the government in the form of windfall tax. But this tax goes direct to the government’s coffers. The rakyat do not enjoy it. In fact the rakyat have been made to pay an additional 26% in the form of electricity tariffs imposed by the TNB. In short, we, the rakyat suffer more for the government’s folly or shortsightedness.

Please Pak Shahrir, you’re my last hope in the current government. Stop stooping so low to please your political masters. You have come a long way. You have sacrificed and suffered a lot in the past. Don’t let your sacrifices and sufferings come to naught, unless you now have become one of them – smacked with personal interest and greed. Stand up on your own and be counted Pak Shahrir.

  • “DNA doe not lie. Give your sample and let the expert read it...... If he had gone.... to the Syariah Court, the best thing of him is to give a DNA sample. Why get into further arguments and controversy?”, Syed Hamid Albar, Home Minister, on Anwar’s refusal to give a DNA sample when he was brought to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur for medical examination. The Star, 18-Jul-08.

This Pak Hamid, the Kodomo Lion of UMNO, who thought Anwar was so naïve to submit to the authorities’ whims and fancies. Who are you kidding, Pak Hamid? Even kids know that in Malaysia everything can be fabricated, more so against political foes like Anwar, who you guys were seriously wanting to silence off. Tough luck, Pak Hamid.

Anwar had learnt his lesson well from the 1998 episode. Otherwise, you and your Chemistry Department would have concocted a perfectly-written script to implicate Anwar. The confirmation from your Chemistry Department that the semen found on Saiful’s underwear was that of Anwar’s but where is the proof? Had Anwar given his sample, your much sought-after proof would be unequivocal “found” of Saiful’s underwear, thus putting Anwar away for good – thus taking away the sleepless nights you and your ass-licking colleagues in the Cabinet and UMNO are currently having, as Anwar would no longer giving you guys nightmares.

Come on, Pak Hamid. You’re not dubbed The Kodomo Lion of UMNO for nothing. Continue your play-acting. You’re not bad an actor.

These are just some examples and the list goes on and on. But it’s irony that their motive is none other than to run down the so-called “opposition”. But they overlook the fact that the term “opposition” can only be used sparingly, as one becomes the government in one instance and then becomes an opposition in another instance. One may be the government in Pahang but when one crosses over into Selangor, he becomes an opposition. And these "bo kam guan" bunch of losers suddenly become experts - going all out to critisize other people at all cost - so much so that they forget about going back to governing.

This is our Malaysian culture. Dah kalah tapi tak nak mengaku. Asyik-asyik cari salah orang je.

BTW, these people have forgotten the purpose of their mission - to govern the country/states irregardless of which party wins the election.

Nasib le engkau Malaysians.
