PR 2; BN 0

PAS turned the table on BN.

It's official.
The scoreline now reads: PR 2; BN 0.
After the March 2008 GE, PR scored one in Permatang Pauh, and now one more - in Kuala Terengganu.

That is, inspite of the uneven playing grounds.

Congratulations Ab Wahid Endut and Tuan Guru Hadi.

Good job done PAS, PKR, DAP.

Well done Barisan Rakyat Bloggers (Raja Petra, Zorro, Haris, Din Merican, Gus and many more).

Setinggi Tahniah and Terima kasih to all KT folks. You guys made the right
choice. You guys show the power of the rakyat.

Your guts will now force BN-UMNO to do a serious post-mortem; and what would be the likely outcomes.

Here are some:
  1. Najib would deny that the loss is not a rejection of his future leadership. He.....he.......(expected already).
  2. Najib would deny that Umno is slowly becoming irrelevant. He.....he......(also expected already).
  3. PAS and its PR partners played dirty.
  4. Bla....bla.....bla..... (but none will be on his weaknesses)

Coming soon: My armchair analysis

You Give - I Take. My Vote - No Way

"Thanks" (but no thank) to (pardon me) the demise of its late-MP, KT has now become the centre of attraction and attention. Everybody is becoming so nice and friendly, as if these KT folks are their long-lost brothers and sisters. They are being showered with praises, gifts, "angpows", projects and dinners that they didn't ask for, when all these whiles nobody bothers about them. Suddenly they become the stars. The DAP, PAS and PKR. UMNO, MCA, Gerakan and MIC. And the Barisan Rakyat bloggers too.

P36 (KT) has become the do-or-die mission to PAS and UMNO, as if it holds the keys to the future of Malaysian politics. To win the P36 means everything to them.

PAS, in idealogy and in practice, differs a great deal from UMNO. Knowing that UMNO, as always, is tainted with money politics and corrupt practices, PAS cleverly put a "clean" candidate to counter Umno's "bad" choice of candidate. Backed by DAP and PKR, PAS managed to allay the fear that the Chinese initially had - no thanks to the hudud issue.

Sensing that PAS's campaign was gaining grounds, Umno's so-called first-class strategists swung into action. But alas, their strategy was pretty standard, which have been replayed many many times whenever there was an election. Promises of infrastructural developments, projects and projects everywhere were made. But PAS made further inroads, this time among the Chinese, who are viewed as the deciding votes - given that the Malays are quite evenly-split for Umno and PAS.

P36 is a do-or-die mission for the PM-in-waiting too. Failure to retain P36 is a rejection of his future leadership. He must go all out to retain P36, otherwise ....................

To retains P36, KT folks are in for lots of goodies, which they might not have dreamt for. But as Tok Guru Datuk Nik Aziz put, "beri salah (dosa), tak beri kalah, jadi Umno-BN duduk dalam serba salah”. Give - sinful; don't give - lose. But who cares, Tok Guru. Do you think Najib cares?

In times of intense desperation, Najib and Co, out of the blues, become so creative (and generous) and are prepared to do the most unthinkable acts. The RM8 million alloted to 20 religious schools, RM3.3 million for construction of a new community hall, RM2.8 million for furbishing a completed hall in a Chinese school, RM3 million for 10 Chinese schools and RM2.7 million cash distribution to 9,000 Chinese for the coming Chinese New Year are nothing. They raise eye-brows, no doubt.

But the grandest actor of all is none other than Najib himself, who stoop so low, out of total desperation, to buy over 583 contractors in a "fully-computerised lucky draw" where each of them was automatically "awarded" a contract for infrastructural project - without bidding and pre-qualifications.

Whao, what a novel idea. Maybe Najib should patent this invention.

So, KT folks, you are very lucky. Lots and lots of goodies are thrown to you. Take them - all of them. They belong to you anyway. The money forked out are not from Umno's coffers. They belong to the people of Terengganu. They suck it out from the oil royalty which should be returned to the rightful owner - without interest.

As to who is to vote - it's your choice.

However, I'm sure you too don't feel easy having a Menteri Besar who act like a gangster, do you? A MB who threatened, "You baik sama saya, saya baik sama you. You tak baik sama saya, saya sepuluh kali tak baik sama you".

I'm sure you do not want a Prime Minister (a future PM) who is synonymous with "giving out goodies" and "vote buying", do you? I'm sure you want the Prime Minister must be clean, sincere, warmth, no baggages etc, don't you?

I'm sure you do not want to be intimadated by someone saying, "If the BN candidate doesn't win, Terengganu would not have an MP in Parliament". It's in fact, a threat.

I'm sure you do not want one with a sinister smile, questionalble character, doubtful integrity like this to be your Prime Minister, do you?

I'm sure you do not want a rep who is not so approachable, not friendly, a bit arrogant, do you? As an elected rep, he should be friendly to all the electorates; can be stopped at anywhere if you have a problem or issue to raise; can sit down with you in a kedai kopi by the roadside; whose house has no security guard nor electric iron gates; and who respects normal voters like us - as without us, he's really nobody.

I'm sure you do not want leaders who siphoned out "your money" and later returned them to you, the rightful owner, and call it "Ini wang ehsan dari Kerajaan Pusat". Some say your oil money is RM4 billion per year. Do you know how much is 1 billion? BTW, how much did they give back to Terengganu?

So, be forewarned KT folks. They give - you take. Your vote - no way.

PS: Folks in whichever constituency you are in, if you too want to be lucky as the KT folks, pray hard, pray hard that your rep resigns, becomes incapacitated or even..............to force a by-election. KT folks can vouch for this. Ha......ha............

Wish Hitler was still alive

Senyum Kambing: What can we do?
There're a lot the world can do.
Much more than merely passing resolutions after resolutions;
demonstrations after demonstrations;
and condemn Israelis' atrocities.

I don't know what you people think but how I wish this psychotic man was still alive, as his Final Solution which he started in 1942 wasn't actually completed yet.

Many people hated him, no doubt but the sight of the Israelis atrocrities against the Palestinians, one would be forgiven for wishing that Adolf Hitler was still alive today, as his planned extermination and execution of the Jews
under The Holocaust wasn't actually done yet.

Had he been alive (and as powerful as he was), he definitely couldn't bear to just watch the Israelis genocide and atrocities of the helpless Palestinians; and would have continued The Holocaust II as he was known to be anti semite and his hatred for Jews was pathological. Here. This psycho had always wanted to eliminate the Jews for good.

But just too bad. There isn't anybody in the mould of Hitler around. And the Palestinians shall continue to suffer and continue suffering at the mere mercy of the Israelis, until the perpetrators think it's enough - until the the Hamas or Fatah or whatever Palestinian resistant groups have learnt enough.

What did the world do?

The UN is, as expected, good in passing resolutions after resolutions only. What can a resolution do? Just "urge" Israel to stop their inhumane act. It goes unheaded, then pass another resolution.

There were many conflicts before. Each time it happened, the UN only passed resolution, nothing else.

Other concerned fellow humans, carried out demonstrations after demonstrations here and there, condemning Israel here and there.

Burnt Ehud Olmert and George Bush's effigies here and there.

Summoned Israelis ambassador or mission head to hand over the protest note here and there.

What is the effect? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Despite of all these, today Israel pushed further into Tel Hawwa neighborhood, the crowded city center, the farthest it has moved into Gaza City during its 18-day offensive against Hamas militants, and brought Israel's ground forces within a mile (1.5 kilometers) of the crowded city center. Palestinian hospital officials say more than 900 Palestinians, half of them civilians, have been killed.

There were calls to boycot US and Israel's products and organizations that support Israel. But some smart arses asked to think carefully before boycotting as it could hurt the country's economy. Bullshit. How long more to endure Uncle Sam's bullying dirty tactics? When would these countries want to free themselves from the US. Can't they come together to have their own trade blocks, without depending on the US? Look at Cuba. Yes, they suffered, but yet they survived until this day. They are not that far behind.

Poor Palestinians. Their fellow brothers, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and others are not doing anything about this human catastrophe. Can't they put aside their differences to save their own race.

It takes others to start the actions, like Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan President who expelled the Israelis ambassador from Caracas; and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, while urging the muslim nations to unite against the Israelis aggression, planned to take action against companies in Iran who dealt with Israel

AND US.

It's not about religion or race. It's about human atrocities and genocide.

Any takers among the other third world and developing countries? Or just talk only.

KJ: PAS is a "klut klet" party

The impending KT by-election finally reinforced the insinuations his distractors have for KJ - the high-flying, ambitious, young, extremely lucky, smart arse and much-talked about Oxford grad.

Check out the video.

He finally showed his true stuff. It shows that Oxford grad is no different from grads from other unis. What a disgrace?

KT folks: Still voting for BN?

Farid is not arrogant, says Pak Lah

Ha.....ha.......ha......ha......Aha.....ha.......ha.......

Can't help but to LOL when Pak Lah said,

"I have heard a lot of things said about our candidate. But what is unusual is that it is Umno members who have been saying things about him, but we have to defend our candidate......"

I even laugh louder and louder when he (Pak Lah), in denying the allegation that Farid was not arrogant, said, "If he was arrogant he would not have been appointed my political secretary". Read more here.

It simply goes to show, dear Mr P.M that you're ..................... and.........................; and Farid is ...................... and ...............................

Is Badawi Bailing Out his Friends?

An intriguing and mind-boggling question asked by Jed Yoong in Asia Sentinel, 09 January 2009

Malaysia's cabinet approves a low-cost air terminal to help out a political ally

With barely three months until March when Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is due to relinquish his office, he has approved a project that reeks of an attempt to salvage the profitability of conglomerate Sime Darby and to further buoy the country’s budget airline, AirAsia, which is controlled by a Badawi ally, Tony Fernandes.

Over the objections of listed Malaysia Airports Bhd, which operates the current Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang and 38 other airports around the country, and which is also building a new permanent low-cost carrier terminal to replace its current facility, Sime Darby and AirAsia have been given the green light by the government to construct a new terminal in Labu, Negeri Sembilan, about 50km from Kuala Lumpur, and 10 km from KL International.

Well Jed, nobody knows for sure. Turning back the pages to the day since he assumed the premiership 5 years ago, you may be right. But certainly the decision raised a big biq ? for the Malaysian public to ponder.

So when is your new deadline, Datuk Seri?

Our Datuk Seri is still on his mission to Putrajaya - albeit many failed attempts, by giving another hope to his supporters. With the impending victory in KT, he can renew his vow to take over from BN.

When is the new date, Datuk Seri? 16 Feb? 19 Mac? Or 31 Aug? Or it's just your empty talk only?

Ke........... ke................ ke................. ke.................
(the laugh that makes Tukar Tiub special).

Date can always keep changing, but when can it become a reality? People can't wait and wait forever, not knowing the timeline, you know.

One day, they may give up on you. People don't trust hope-giver. They want a reality-maker. I wonder which one you are.

Or you keep shifting date just to keep these people hopes after hopes - albeit a false one. Or you also main tembak je.

Ke...............ke.............ke...............ke.

Tee Keat's gag order: Consolidation of power or Disintegration of MCA?

The MCA President is on the move yet again in tightening his grip. He now requires all bureau chiefs to seek prior endorsement from the presidential council before issuing press releases. {Read here}

Seeking endorsement from the presidential council means seeking his approval la, as the council is made up of his yes-men.

His move is clearly targeted at the more outspoken and speaking-his-mind deputy president, Chua Soi Lek, whose ideas are always not in line with the President's thinking. It simply shows Tee Keat's low level of tolerance for different view points. Meaning he can't accept differences. Soi Lek, unlike others, has his own mind and does not hold back.

After his "historic" victory, instead of closing ranks, he enhanced the divide by sidelining Soi Lek and Ong Ka Chuan. Naming Ka Chuan as the party's history and documentation bureau chief is a joke but not making Chua Soi Lek as a state party chief and the party disciplinary chief is insulting the party's closely-observed tradition. Never mind if Tee Keat has no respect for Soi Lek (for his foray in the sexual rendevous) or his position as the party No. 2, but don't forget that Soi Lek was chosen by the grassroots. And the grassroots have their ways to get back at anybody not in their good book.

Could his move revives the Team A and Team B rivalry?

It's too early to conclude but Soi Lek-Jui Meng-Ka Chuan could form a formidable trio for Tee Keat to content with.

That's worrying. It does not augur well for MCA which is now graping for breadth after a disasterous outing in the March'08 general election.

If Tee Keat, while fulfiling his own personal agenda continues to run the party with All The President's Men, by the next elections, MCA may suffer the fate that befall its half-brother, Gerakan.

Between Kamal Hassan, Rajnikanth and Manikavasagam.

Am back from long hiatus but keep smiling to myself as I'm truly amused by the antics of Manikavasagam, the MP for Klang.

So good is his acting that probably Kamal Hassan

and Rajnikanth should make way for him in Bollywood.

Here comes the superstar of Bollywood in the making, S. Manikavasagam, a Malaysian of Indian descent.

The MP for Klang, S. Manikavasagam is in fact a good actor. First he threatened to resign from PKR over his dissappointment with the Selangor PR government over some unfulfilled promises such as the appointment of Indians in government-linked companies, state agencies and local councils and welfare of the Indians generally. Read here.

But he showed his acting mettle by only resigning as Selangor PKR vice-chairman but not from PKR or as an MP, whilst at the same time issued an ultimatum that his next course of action depended on the outcome of his meeting with Anwar Ibrahim, the PKR adviser.

Don't know what happened after that (probably good sense prevailed) and now he's saying, "I will live or die with PKR".
Here.

Ke.........ke..........ke............

What a joke, Mani. You only make a fool of yourself. You may want to deny what you said earlier. You may want to claim that the press quoted you out of contact (to save face for your folly, which is being used by almost every big shot).

You have the late Tan Sri V. Manikavasagam's nameshake but failed to follow his conduct. What a shame, Mani.

But be rest assured that you allegations are legitimate. Yes, the Indians are being marginalized. You see, everybody is being marginalized. As a matter of fact not only the Indians. The Chinese, Thais, Portuguese, Ibans, Dayaks, Dusuns and Melanaus too are being marginalized.

Not only inter-race. Marginalization also exist intra-race. The poor Chinese are also being marginalized by the rich and mighty MCA. The kampong Malays are also being marginalized by the powerful inner circle of Umno. Farmer Pak Ali and fisherman Pak Mat are also being marginalized by the high and mighty and arrogant Ketua Cawangan, Ketua Bahagian, Ketua Pemuda. Not to mention by other Datos and Tan Sris. But of course, the marginalized Malays are still are much better than the marginalized Indians and Chinese la. But the fact remains that everybody is being marginalized at one time or another.

There's nothing to cry about. What can you do when you don't have the number. Just accept the fact that "majority rules". Marginalization and discrimination happen everywhere, in all countries on this planet. Even in the world's largest democracy, i.e. India and US, marginalization and discrimination exist.

What can you do about it? No, don't say nothing. There's something the "marginalized" citizens can do about it; and we Malaysians have sort of done it to a lesser degree in the March 2008 general elections.

Having said that, do you rationally think that Pakatan Rakyat would cease the practice of marginalization should it manage to wrest control of the federal government. Nay. It's going to stay - forever, unless you have more non-Malay MPs than Malay MPs in Parliament. That is probable but near impossible, right?

Do you think there is no marginalization in Penang, Kedah, Perak and Kelantan?

That's why I say marginalization is a way of life in Malaysia.

But thanks God Almighty now that you have come to your sense. Don't resign. Fight from within. Don't fight from outside. You lose your bargaining power once you're outside. Nobody has gained anything fighting from outside. Continue to champion for the Indians' cause. Malaysian minority like the Indians need you. But don't la go to the press to wash dirty line in public.

Good luck, Mani.
